CarePorch Community Guidelines
Effective date: October 5, 2026
CarePorch is a support community for caregivers and families. Members may share hard days and hard feelings here. We support honest conversation and work to reduce abuse.
What Is Welcome
- Caregiving questions, stories, and emotional support.
- Ordinary frustration, venting, and some hard language.
- Different experiences shared with respect.
What Is Not Allowed
- Threats, harassment, hate, or targeted abuse.
- Sexual content, exploitation, spam, scams, or impersonation.
- Doxxing or sharing private contact information without consent.
- Medical, legal, or financial claims presented as professional advice.
Reports And Blocking
Members can report messages or people for review. Members can also block people they do not want to interact with. CarePorch may review reports, remove content, warn members, block accounts, or ban people when needed for safety. Reports may not be reviewed promptly or receive a response. A report does not guarantee action or anyone's safety. CarePorch is not a crisis or emergency-response service.
If someone is in immediate danger, call 911 in the United States or your local emergency number. In the United States, call or text 988 or visit the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline for suicide or emotional-crisis support. Outside the United States, contact a local crisis service. Do not wait for a report or email response from CarePorch.
