Delete Your CarePorch Account

Effective date: May 15, 2026

You can start account deletion inside the CarePorch app from Settings, then Account & Safety, then Delete Account.

How to Request Account Deletion

1. Open the CarePorch app.
2. Go to Settings.
3. Tap Account & Safety.
4. Tap Delete Account and follow the confirmation steps.

If you cannot access the app, email matt@careporch.org from the email address connected to your CarePorch account.

What We Delete

After verifying your request, we will delete or de-identify account information associated with your CarePorch account, including profile information and account records where deletion is technically and legally available.

What May Be Retained

Some information may be retained when needed for legal compliance, fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution, community safety, or backup integrity. Some community content, moderation records, logs, or data in backups may remain for a limited period before deletion or de-identification.

Timing

We aim to process verified deletion requests within 30 days unless a longer period is required by law, security, or technical constraints.
